About IPM
It is a Five-Year Integrated Program in Management (IPM) for students after class XII who aim to pursue MBA. It is a comprehensive program that has a combined course of management studies from UG to PG.
The objective of the program is to develop student’s core competencies in the area of analytical thinking, interpersonal development, decision making along with ethical orientation. On completion of a program of 5 years, the student will be awarded a Masters of Management Studies (MMS) by IIM Rohtak. And if a student wishes to exit after 3 years, he will be awarded the degree of BBA.

IPM Program, IIM Rohtak
IIM Rohtak is amongst the top five IIMs. According to the NIRF ranking system, it comes under the top 25 best management colleges in India. In 2011, IIM Rohtak came up with a Five-Year Integrated Program in Management.
How to Apply?
- For applying to IIM Rohtak IPM Program, candidates are required to fill the registration form, which aims at evaluating candidate’s proficiency in academics as well as in extra-curricular activities
- The application fee for IIM Rohtak, IPM Program is Rs.3,890/-
IPM Rohtak Eligibility
- Candidates need to score a minimum of 60% in 10th and or equivalent examinations (relaxation of 5% for the candidates from SC/ ST/ PwD category)
- The age limit is 20 years as of July 31, 2021

About IPMAT
It is an aptitude test conducted by IIM Indore for admission to its five-year course, IPM. For admission in the IPM program, candidates have to successfully clear IPMAT and the shortlisted candidates further go through the Written Ability Test (WAT) & Personal Interview (PI) round.
Along with IIM Indore, Nirma University also accepts IPMAT scores for admission to its BBA-MBA integrated program.
IPM Rohtak Selection Process:
Under the selection process of IIM Rohtak, candidates will have to undergo the Aptitude Test conducted by IIM Rohtak which will test the Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and Proficiency in English of the candidate.
Shortlisted candidates will proceed to the second stage for, Written Ability Test and Personal Interview.
Written Aptitude Test (WAT): WAT is a 30-minutes duration test where-in candidates are required to write an essay on the topic given for WAT.
Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who qualify for the Aptitude Test will be eligible for the Personal Interview.

IPMAT Exam Preparation Strategy
IPMAT tests you based on your ability to think. Analyze each question to identify your strength and weakness in a particular field. Extensive reading is required to develop a good speed and acumen for the Verbal Ability section. Keep yourself updated by regularly reading a newspaper and be thorough with the current things happenings which will help you in the WAT & PI process also.
Some preparation tips
- According to the syllabus of the exam, design a proper time table
- Cover all the topics and concepts
- Do mock tests and practice tests regularly
- Analyze the tests taken, recognize the weak areas, and work accordingly, this is the most important step
IPM Program Structure
- The IPM program at IIM Rohtak comprises of 15 terms spread across 5 years
- There is 3 term of 3-month duration each year. The IPM Programme is divided into parts. The first part is all about basic foundation courses and the second part focuses on management
- The internship is a mandatory part of the program
- Each student is required to undergo a business internship at the end of the academic year
- Every year, the students will undergo various projects which include immersive learning opportunities in the form of research work with faculty of IIM Rohtak, rural/social emersion project, and business internship
- Placement opportunities will be provided to the students who complete the full five years of course of studies
IPM Rohtak Course Curriculum
The IPM program has 4 core parts:
- Mathematics
- Statistics
- Humanities
- Economics
Apart from these four other courses like Marketing Management, HRM, General Management, Business Communication, Foreign languages, etc are also a part of the IPM program. The courses offered by IIM Rohtak in the fourth and fifth years of the IPM program are identical to the curriculum of the PGP program.
In addition to the academic courses, students get the opportunity to participate in various co-curricular activities which sharpen their managerial skills.
Internship
The IPM program includes a business internship program between the 4th and 5th years of the IPM program.

The highest salary offered at IIM Rohtak was 20 LPA, and the average salary for the batch of 2017-19 was around 11.85 LPA. The batch size was 150 students. The major roles offered in domains such as Sales & Marketing (32%), IT/Analytics (21%), Consulting (15%), Finance (12%), HR (3%), and Operations (2%).
Major recruiters are Delloite, Berger, KPMG, Thomson Reuters, Kotak, Jio, IBM, GMR, SBI, etc.
