• NMAT is a computer-based test taken by the institute for admission to the MBA Colleges and PGDM programs across various campuses of Narsee Monjee

• The overall level of the NMAT exam is moderate to easy

• The overall cut-off out of 360 marks for Narsee Monjee Mumbai stood at 208 last year

• Narsee Monjee Bangalore and Narsee Monjee Hyderabad had cut-off arond200 marks in the NMAT exam

Eligibility

For applying to NMIMS through NMAT by GMAC exam, a candidate should have a Bachelor`s degree from any recognized university with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks
For candidates applying for MBA in Pharmaceutical Management, the candidate should have a graduation degree in B.Pharm. Life Sciences, MBBS. B.Sc, etc
The candidate should have filled the form and given the NMAT exam, after paying a fee of INR 2000 + taxes for each attempt and in case a candidate fills the attempt late, the fee for a retest is INR 2500 + taxes

Selection Criteria

• Once the NMAT scores are out, the shortlisting procedure starts

• The criteria for shortlisting is simple and is based on the NMAT cut- off and the score that is achieved by a candidate

• NMIMS Mumbai (Pharmaceutical Management) saw the cut-off for NMIMS 2020 process at 169 marks

• The NMAT score and the campus and program preference filled by the candidate are taken into concern while shortlisting a candidate

Criteria for final selection

• Shortlisted candidates are called at various centers for selection processes

• Selection processes include Case Discussion and Personal Interview

• Evaluation for final selection is done based on parameters such as performance in NMAT exam, performance in Personal Interview and Case Discussion, Academic record of as an individual, Work Experience,

• According to NMIMS, work Experience below 6 months has 0 weightage

• The selection criteria are purely on a merit list basis

Selection Procedure for NMIMS

Round 1: Shortlisting

The candidate fills the NMAT exam form after checking his/her eligibility and applies to the desired program and campus preference, once the NMAT result is out and students who have cleared the cut-off are given call letters for the further selection processes.

Round 2: Case Discussion and Personal Interview

Shortlisted candidates are called to various centers for

1. Case Discussion: Candidates are divided into groups and assigned panels where they undergo the discussion of a case study and arrive at a solution. This step checks the analysis power, leadership skills, teamwork skills, and ideation skills.

2. Personal Interview: Helps in understanding the candidate better and checks their understanding and presentation skills.

Final Selection

Done on a merit list basis. Based on the performance of the candidate in NMAT, Case Discussion, and Personal Interview. Once a cumulative score is arrived at, provisional admission letters are issued.
