XLRI – Jamshedpur, also known as Xavier School of Management, is India’s first B-school that was founded in the year 1949. It is located in the city of Jamshedpur, Jharkhand. It is one of the best and oldest B schools in India. XLRI is ranked 8th by the NIRF in 2022 and first in Outlook I Care ranking 2022. Programs at XLRI – Jamshedpur are accredited by the global accreditation body: AACSB, AMBA. Also, a few years ago, XLRI took a strategic step to expand across the country and decided to come up with a new campus. The new Delhi-NCR Campus is the first branch of XLRI after the Jamshedpur campus which started from 2020.
Delhi-NCR campus is situated in Jhajjar, at Aurangpur. In the coming years, the new XLRI Delhi campus will offer a vast portfolio of courses like 2-year PGDM in Human Resource Management and Business Management. 15-months of Executive General Management Program for the executives who are having experience of more than 5 years. But currently only PGDM – BM is being offered in Delhi NCR Campus.

School of Business:
PGDM (BM) 2-year full-time program on Business Management, and upon completion, students are honored with Postgraduate diploma in Business Management (PGDM) degree. This program is rated as one of the most refined program in the country.
School of HR AND IR:
PGDM (HRM) – XLRI offers a 2-year full-time Program in Human Resource Management. On completion, students are conferred with Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management degree. The HRM course is ranked as the best HRM program in India and in the Asia-Pacific region.
PGDM IB:
2-year full-time program on International Management.
XLRI has achieved 100% placements for the batch of 2019-21. The Final Recruitment process included the participation of around 108 recruiters with 370 international and domestic offers. There were 23 new finals recruiters for the batch of 2019-21.
Some of the renowned companies that visit XLRI are: Accenture Strategy, Microsoft, Amazon, P&G, Aditya Birla Group, Avendus Capital, Citibank, Standard Chartered, Capgemini ELITE, Hindustan Unilever, Boston Consulting Group, etc.
XAT score is the mandatory aspect in the XLRI selection process for all its high ranked PGDM program. GMAT scores are also accepted for admission in XLRI for NRI and foreign nationals.

Stage 3: XAT 2022 Exam
The candidate’s performance in XAT 2022 is the key criteria to clear the XLRI Selection. The XAT performance is accompanied by the overall score, percentile score as well as sectional score in the XAT 2022 exam. The XAT 2022 exam pattern has been modified and the Essay Writing Test has been removed from XAT 2022 computer-based test. Instead of essay writing, decision making section has been included since 2021.
Stage 4: Shortlisting
There are two stages involved in the process of XLRI Admission: Shortlisting & Final Selection.
After the declaration of the XAT 2022 result, XLRI will release the shortlist of the candidates for the final selection round for admission in the 2022 batch. The XAT scorecard contains – overall percentile score, sectional percentile score, overall raw score, and sectional raw score. The XLRI shortlist will depend upon the candidate’s XAT 2022 percentile score and place in the XLRI merit list of shortlisted candidates.
XLRI – Jamshedpur will shortlist the candidates for the final selection round which may contain GD-PI-WAT as their evaluation component.
XLRI has the authority to decide on the minimum section-wise and overall cut off in the XAT entrance exam. If the candidate does not score the minimum percentile decided by the XLRI in XAT 2022 entrance exam, then he/she may not be eligible for shortlisting for the final selection stage.
Stage 5: Participate in GD-PI-WAT Round
Stage 6: Final Admission Offer
Once all the rounds are done, XLRI will release the final admission letter and this will be the last stage of the selection process.
XLRI – Jamshedpur will prepare the final selection list based on a composite score, which takes into account the applicant’s academic record, XAT 2022 scores, Work experience, and overall performance in the PI Round.
