CMAT Exam

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) is an online computer-based test conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), India. CMAT is a national-level admission test that allows students to get into various institutions that offer proper management courses approved by the main body of AICTE. 

 

The CMAT score is accepted by all AICTE Approved Colleges /institutions/universities like K J Somaiya Institute of Management, Goa Institute of Management, Great Lakes Institute of Management, and many more. CMAT Exam mostly occurs in January every year with all the registration processes beginning from November. The examination is conducted in online mode and the duration of the exam is three hours. The CMAT Exam paper consists of 100 questions ranging from Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension to General Awareness. The CMAT score is valid for a year. 

 

Eligibility

For General and NC/OBC candidates, these pointers are to be kept in mind to sit for the CMAT 2021 Exam

  1. The candidate must be a resident of India to apply
  2. The candidate must hold a valid Bachelors’ degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent GP to appear for the CMAT Exam
  3. Candidates in the final year of graduation, who still have not completed graduation are also eligible to apply for CMAT 2021
  4. In that case, if a candidate passes the CMAT Exam and gets selected by a college then he/she will be given provisional admission
  5. Candidates must have 50% marks in their provisional degree
  6.  
For SC/ ST/PWD candidates, these pointers are to be kept in mind in order to sit for the CMAT 2021 Exam
  1. The Candidate must be a resident of India to apply
  2. The candidate must hold a valid Bachelors’ degree with at least 45% marks or equivalent CGPA in order to appear for the CMAT Exam
  3. Candidates in the final year of graduation are also eligible to apply for the  CMAT 2021
  4. In that case, if a candidate passes the CMAT Exam and gets selected by a college then he/she will be given provisional admission
  5. Candidates have 45% marks in their provisional degree 

Exam Structure

The CMAT Exam paper has 4 sections in total. Each section has 25 questions each with maximum marks of 100. The total paper is 400 marks.

Marking Scheme

The candidate gets + 4 for every correct answer and -1 for every incorrect answer. For the CMAT 2021 paper, the same marking scheme is been expected to follow.

  • Step 2. Fill the application form
  • Step 3. Enter (Captcha) security code
  • Step 4. Preview the provided information
  • Step 5. Upload all the required documents
  • Step 6. Pay the amount of application fee for the CMAT exam
  • Step 7. Download the confirmation page which will display after successful payment

Important Dates For CMAT 2021

The first week of January is the expected date for the CMAT Exam. The registrations are expected to open their gates from the first week of November and the entire process almost takes up a time duration of one month.
