Faculty of Management Studies (FMS) is one of the leading B-schools in India. It is located in New Delhi. It was established in the year 1954 under the umbrella of the University of Delhi. It offers a full-time MBA program, an executive MBA program, Management Development Program (MDP), and a doctoral program with 21 faculty members. It is ranked at 7th and 30th amongst top Indian management institutes as per Recruitment Inbox’s and NIRF’s 2020 ranking.  

FMS Campus

FMS Delhi has its campus in North and South Delhi. Both the campuses have technology resources and facilities and are fully Wi-Fi enabled. FMS has a well maintained and dedicated computer centre for students where they can keep themselves updated with day to day developments and also assist themselves in studies.

Selection Process

FMS Delhi Admission Eligibility

  1. The candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years duration with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA 
  2. 45% marks at graduation are required for the candidates belonging to OBC/PwD and CW category
  3. Candidates had to appear in the CAT exam and must have scored minimum sectional and overall percentile to become eligible 
  4. A candidate appearing for the final year examination and those who have completed the degree requirements and are awaiting results were also eligible to apply for FMS Delhi for the MBA program
 FMS Delhi Admission Process
Step 1: To be considered for the first stage shortlisting process, the candidate has to score the minimum required sectional and overall percentile in the CAT exam. 
Step 2: Candidates who are shortlisted are required GD, PI, and extempore round in the final selection process in Delhi. FMS Delhi also expects consonant and minimum performance in the different parameters of the PI round.
Shortlisting Criteria
  • In the shortlisting criteria, the candidate is awarded weightage to sectional percentile scores in the CAT exam
  • An additional 3 marks are added to the Composite score in case of women candidates 
  • All the candidates shortlisted for the final selection round are expected to attend GD-PI & Extempore

Step 3: After the GD-PI- Extempore round, final admission offers are made by FMS Delhi to all the successful candidates. All the candidates are required to come to Delhi Campus for further rounds


Step 4: Final Admission Offer will be made to the candidates based on the composite score of on CAT score, performance in GD-PI-Extempore, Academic profile

I joined MBAP for GMAT prep and my experience with them was really amazing, from the first day itself the faculties gave personal attention to each student and made sure each student had their own personalised GMAT and CAT prep plans. The Verbal faculty Rohan Kulkarni Sir was amazing, I was very weak in English and verbal section, but through his guidance I scored a V38 (85th percentile) in my GMAT exam. The Quant faculties Abhijeet and Haider Sir helped me develop strategies and short cuts to approach GMAT problems and we're always available for my doubts. FMS Delhi Admission Cut-Off

For the last 3 years, FMS has also included the sectional cut-offs as per the weightage. Furthermore, going by the past year’s pattern, a candidate with a high sectional percentile score of 97+ in CAT 2020 has been shortlisted as per the sectional weightage criteria.
