Trigonometry- Quantitative Aptitude is an important topic when it comes to MBA Entrance exams. This is one of the most important aspects of Quantitative Aptitude. The reason why this is being included as a sub-topic under Quantitative Aptitude is it helps students work out basic concepts in geometry and also complex angles and dimensions in relatively little time. Since the last few years, especially from 2017, very few geometry aptitude questions have been coming in every entrance exam. Nevertheless, it is good to go prepared.

Trigonometry concepts vary a lot. CAT Geometry Questions from Trigonometry can vary from heights and distances to concepts of identities.

1. Specific functions of angles and their applications to calculations. For e.g. sine (sin), cosine (cos), tangent (tan), cotangent (cot), secant (sec) and cosecant (csc)

2. Questions related to height & distance using pythagoras theorem.

3. Product-to-sums & vice-versa.

4. Trigonometric identities & even odd identities.

5. Learning about the six basic trigonometric ratios. The key is that each trigonometric function becomes periodic which means that values repeat in equal trends

66. Finding the Unit Circle – For e.g. Each point (X, Y) on a circle gives values of cosine and sine of the corresponding angle

7. Finding Pythagorean identities. For e.g. When applied to the unit circle, we get a trio of the useful trigonometric function

- Students are supposed to have basic knowledge of trigonometry concepts from MBAP CAT E Book (Concept Theory) study material
- They should have a fast calculation mindset
- The first step is to clear all your basics. Take help of live lectures. Solve questions from MBAP CAT E Book (Practice Questions).
- 4When it comes to CAT Geometry Questions from trigonometry, students should have the skill to identify which identity is been needed to solve the problems on geometry. Follow lecture notes.

1. Domain and range are an important part of trigonometric function, so to remember it plot these graphs by on your own

2. Inverse trigonometry may be tough for the first time, but more and more practice make it easy. Trigonometry questions focus a lot on inverse trigonometry

3. Always try to solve trigonometry questions using a different approach and also go through MBAP Topic wise Previous Year CAT Question

4. Trigonometry concepts starts with the triangles .so keep in your mind that behind every question there is a triangle

5. If you are going for an objective approach then you can put Theta is equal to 0 degrees, 30 degrees, 45 degrees, 60 degrees, 90 degrees, but always keep in your mind that it is not a hard and fast rule which is always to be true

Coaching offers me personalized attention and a competitive environment. Because the preparation was so rigorous, I eventually began to perform at my best. The mock interviews/GD/WATs were conducted by anonymous panels, and it really boosted my confidence. Although I got a call from SCMHRD (SNAP-98.12), Abhijeet sir felt that I should try again and aim for IIM-A/B/C. It has been your pleasure to have been your mentor.
