CMAT exam is a national MBA entrance exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) every year. CMAT score is accepted by many top B- schools in India like JBIMS Mumbai, SIMSREE, GIM, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar etc. for MBA/PGDM admissions. The CMAT 2019 exam was conducted in 2 slots each with duration of 3-hours. It consisted of 100 questions from 4 sections namely Language Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation and General Awareness. For every correct answer candidate scored +4 and for every wrong answer 1 mark was deducted.

The section wise questions pattern and difficulty in CMAT 2019 is as follows:
CMAT 2019 Analysis : This section in CMAT 2019 comprised of 4 reading comprehensions and other verbal questions included synonyms/ antonyms, fill in the blanks, idiom based, analogies, error correction etc. The level of difficulty of this section was easy to moderate. Candidate attempting 23-24 questions with around 80-90% accuracy in this section could score well.
CMAT 2019 Analysis : This section in CMAT 2019 was mainly dominated by questions from Geometry and Arithmetic followed by Algebra and Modern Math. 2 Data Interpretation questions were also asked. The difficulty level of questions mostly ranged from easy to moderate with only 2-3 difficult questions. A candidate attempting 24-25 questions with 90% accuracy is expected to score well in this section.
CMAT 2019 Analysis : This section in CMAT 2019 comprised of questions from both verbal and non-verbal reasoning. There were 4 questions from Verbal ability and rest of the questions were based on series, blood relations, direction sense, ranking etc. The level of difficulty for this section was also easy to moderate. Candidate with 24-25 attempts with 90% accuracy could score good.
CMAT 2019 Analysis : This section in CMAT 2019 exam was mainly dominated by static GK questions and had only 8 current affairs questions. You must be thorough with the GK facts to answer the questions. Anyone attempting 12-15 questions with 80-85% accuracy is expected to score well in this section.
The overall difficulty level of the paper was easy. Verbal Ability was a little difficult, Data Interpretation was time- consuming and GK too was a little twisted.
A candidate should get around a 99 percentile for attempting around 85 to 87 questions with 90% accuracy, which would give the candidate a score of 305-310.
