TISSNET 2018: The TISS exam is a nationwide entrance exam that is conducted every year for MBA aspirants who wish to get into Tata Institute of Social Science (TISS) institute which has 4 campuses in India (Mumbai, Tuljapur, Guwahati and Hyderabad). TISS institute offers many programs like M.A, M.Sc, M.H.A etc with their M.A (Human Resource Management) course in Mumbai campus being the flagship one. The M.A programme offered here is at par with the management programmes at various top MBA colleges in India. The TISS exam date for 2018 was 6th January 2018. TISSNET Syllabus comprised of General Awareness, Analytical and Logical Reasoning and English Proficiency sections. TISS 2018 was predictably easier with some minor changes. The test was a computer-based test with no negative marks for wrong answers. For each correct answer, there was 1 mark awarded and the time limit was of 100 minutes.
The overall difficulty level of “TISSNET 2018” was easy – moderate compared to last year. A score of 72+/-2 could be considered as the cut-off for MA HRM program at TISS Mumbai.
The section wise questions pattern and difficulty in TISSNET 2018 is as follows:
This section “of TISSNET 2018” included a mixed set of questions with a varied difficulty level. There were about 20 questions on Verbal Ability which were moderate-difficult. And the question from Reading Comprehension was easy-moderate. A good score in this section would be around 25. A serious aspirant would be able to tackle most of the questions within 35 to 40 minutes.
This section in TISSNET 2018 was on the easier side compared to last year. This section consisted of 22 easy questions and 8 moderate questions. A score of 22-25 can be considered to be a good score in this section.
The questions in TISSNET 2018 were based on wide topics. The questions were majorly based on current affairs and static GK topics. A student with decent preparation could expect a 60 to 70% accuracy. A score of around 25 out of 40 can be considered as a good score in this section.

TISSNET 2018 was overall a moderately easy exam compared to the previous year. The General Awareness section being slightly tougher than last year, we expect the cutoff of this year to be somewhere around 72 +/- 2 marks for the MA in HRM program. A good score in TISSNET 2018 would be around 25 – 27. An aspirant who has practiced a lot can be able to tackle most of the questions and even score more.
