XAT 2020 Exam Analysis: Xavier Aptitude Test is a national level MBA entrance exam conducted by XLRI, Jamshedpur every year, for more than 70 years now. XAT is one of the most prominent entrance exams in India which is taken by thousands of aspirants every year who aim to get admitted into various top colleges who accept XAT scores. Some of the top colleges apart from XLRI Jamshedpur who accept XAT are, Xavier Institute of Management (XIM) Bhubaneshwar, MICA, BITS Pilani, TAPMI, IMT Ghaziabad and 150 others. In terms of difficulty, XAT is considered to be the toughest of all MBA entrance exams. Even tougher than CAT.
There is a negative marking for every incorrect answer and a penalty of 0.10 marks after 8 unattempted questions. The part 2 of XAT, however, does not have any penalty.

The section wise analysis of XAT 2020 is given below. The Verbal and Logical Ability section was the toughest of all. Quants and GK were comparatively easy. Here’s a in detail analysis below.
XAT 2020 Exam Analysis: “The Verbal Ability section had a mix of Grammar, Para jumbles, Comprehensions, Critical reasoning.” 10-12 questions with an efficiency of 90% could be considered as a good attempt in 50-60 minutes. The sectional cut-off was around 9-10 marks. “The in- depth area wise analysis is given in the table below.”
This section comprises of 21 questions.” 12-13 questions with an efficiency of 90% could be considered as a good attempt in 50-60 minutes. The sectional cut-off was around 8-9 marks.
XAT 2020 Exam Analysis: The Quant section in XAT 2020 was dominated by questions from Geometry, Mensuration and DI sets. About 15-16 questions with an efficiency of 90% could be considered as a good attempt in 50-60 minutes. The sectional cut-off was around 10-11 marks
The XAT GK section consisted of questions on Budget, static GK, and few sports- related questions. The overall difficulty level in XAT 2020 was the same as last year.
