IIFT which is the short form for the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade commenced in 1963 by the Government of India with a vision to prepare management professionals to carry out India`s foreign trade and increase the level of export by developing human resources, analyzing and disseminating data and conducting research. Work Experience: Though it is not a necessary parameter for applying to IIFT, points are awarded for the work experience of a candidate, work experience has a total of 3 points out of the 100 marks, the scoring based on the Work experience of a candidate follows the following pattern:

Round 1: Shortlisting of candidates
Candidates are shortlisted when call letters are given out based on IIFT exam score, the cut-off for the Year 2020 was 138 for the General category, 116 for the General(EWS) / OBC-NCL category, and 89 for SC/ST/PwD category. Candidates who have met the cut-off will be given a call letter and are called for the further selection processes by IIFT.
