IIM Ahmedabad - Batch Profile | 4 Major Changes In 2021

IIM Ahmedabad being the Top Rank B School of our country, it sets an example for all the other colleges. Batch Profile of IIMs say a lot about the kind of students these institutions select and how much importance they give to different parameters of a student’s profile.

For the batch of 2021 – 23, there has been significant changes observed in the Batch Profile. MBAP captures the five changing trends and lists them below:

Trend # 1 - Increase in Fresher Candidates

A Good News For All Fresher Candidates, as we see a total of 128 Freshers in IIM Ahmedabad which is a jump of approximately 5% over the last year. This is one of the crucial parameters which shows that Top Colleges give important to other parameters as well apart from Work Experience.

Trend #2 - Increase in No. of Non Engineering Students

Having a Strong Policy on Diversity In Batch Profile, IIM A has been gradually increasing the no. of non – engineering students, which gives a great opportunity to students coming from arts, commerce, agriculture, etc.

Trend #3 - Increase in Commerce Students

Though Arts and Science students don’t see much of an increase, students from Commerce Background saw a significant increase in their share of Batch Profile.

Trend #4 - Increase in Women Candidates

Since the past few years all the IIMs have increase the intake of Women in their Batch. Some IIMs have introduced Super Numbery Process to promote the intake of women. This year IIM Ahmedabad saw a significant jump of 6% in PGP Batch and 9% in PGP FABM Program.

Best learning experience.Faculties are good and you will get a good support from them till you get admission into a B-School.The shortcut techniques taught will be of great help for you. I joined MBAP for GMAT prep and my experience with them was really amazing, from the first day itself the faculties gave personal attention to each student and made sure each student had their own personalised GMAT and CAT prep plans. The Verbal faculty Rohan Kulkarni Sir was amazing, I was very weak in English and verbal section, but through his guidance I scored a V38 (85th percentile) in my GMAT exam. The Quant faculties Abhijeet and Haider Sir helped me develop strategies and short cuts to approach GMAT problems and we're always available for my doubts.
