Language Comprehension: Out of the 40 questions in this section, most of the questions were on the moderate difficulty side while some RC questions were found to be on the easier side. Idioms and phrase substitution with words questions, which formed about 3 questions of the entire section were considered to be difficult.

Data Analysis and Sufficiency: Data interpretation dominated the section in terms of the number of questions. Arriving at the accurate answers while also maintaining time was a challenge for students as the section was found to be time-consuming.

Language Comprehension: There were four Reading Comprehension questions and each was approximately 400 words long. Each RC composed of 5 questions which the candidates were supposed to answer. Other topics included in the questions were para jumbles, summary questions, word-meanings and summary questions.

Mathematical Aptitude: The questions were not complicated but the calculations were time-consuming and length. Profit and loss, time speed and distance, simple and compound interest and work, pipe and cisterns contributed to 4 questions each. Next majority of questions were from mixtures and allegations and percentages while probability and permutation and combination did not contribute significantly.

Language Comprehension: The reading comprehensions were lengthy compared to previous years with every comprehension being of almost 500 words. The level of difficulty was found to be tough and only a few topics like antonyms and phrases were easy. Topics like synonyms, jumbles, fill in the blanks and errors in sentence formation had a moderate difficulty level.

Indian and Global Environment: The questions were based on recent events with topics from sports, film awards, states of India taxation and duties etc. Students adopted the strategy to save time in this section and spend it across other sections.
 
Based on the 2019 PBT paper, to secure a 99 percentile, a MAT exam score of 750-765 out of 800 would be optimum.
