About MICAT: Mudra Institute of Communications Admissions Test (MICAT) is the compulsory entrance exam at MICA Ahmedabad only for admission into its PGDM programs. It is a Computer Based Test and will be performed for PGDM-C and PGDM 2021-2023 batch selection. The MICAT test takes place in two stages. Registration is conducted separately for both tests and in one of the two tests, the students have to appear. To pick applicants, the better of the two MICAT Scores will be considered.



  1.  Candidates should have appeared in CAT 2020 / XAT 2021 / GMAT (2019 onwards) or appear in CAT 2020 / XAT 2021 / GMAT.
  2.  They should also have a bachelor’s or equivalent degree in any curriculum approved by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
  3.  Candidates who qualify for bachelor’s degree exams in the final year are also eligible to apply.

Marking Scheme


  1. Candidates will get a +1 mark for the correct choice selected.
  2. There is a negative factor of 0.25 marks per question for each incorrect answer in the quantitative power, verbal skill, divergent convergent reasoning, and general awareness parts.
  3. No marks will be deducted in the Psychometric section for wrong answers but, all questions in this section must be answered, and failure to do so will lead to rejection.
The expected cutoff this year is 55 scaled score out of total score given.

Registration Details

Step 1 – Visit the official MICA site and click on the PGDM-C Course ‘Apply Online’ option. There are 2 options: New and Already Registered Users Registration. The instruction page appears when you click on New Registration. The registration form is composed of the following choices to be filled out by the applicants: name, email ID, mobile number. Applicants must click on the button ‘I accept’ and submit the MICAT Registration Form. A confirmation page appears with your id and password upon final submission.
Step 2 – Fill Basic Details – DOB, sex, age, nationality, marital status, name, and academic qualification, and address of correspondence. Next, applicants must fill in the following details: permanent address, contact details, choice of center: applicants must choose 3 MICAT Exam Centers and, then specify, the GE / PI Center.  Fill educational details – Class 10, Class 12, Details of graduation, Master / PG Details, Details of work experience. CAT / XAT / GMAT Information & Photograph and Signature Uploading.

Step 3 – For all groups, the registration fee is INR 1985. Candidates can pay the application fee for MICAT 2021 via both offline and internet mode. Via Online /Cash (SBI only)/Demand Draft, they may choose to pay their application fee. Check all the information in the Application Form following the satisfactory payment of the Application Fee. Click on “Edit Button” if you want to edit any stuff. “Click on” Submit Button “after that. Take the MICAT 2021 Application Form printout.
