SET TEST
Symbiosis International (Deemed University) (SIU) conducts SET Test (Symbiosis Entrance Test) for Undergraduate level BBA courses. This exam helps students enroll in esteemed colleges like SCMS Pune, SCMS Noida, and SCMS Nagpur. In 2020, SET was conducted in an online proctored mode in two parts i.e., SET – A & B. Set – A covers all the other courses offered by SIU except Law, Engineering, and BBA. Set – B covers BBA courses offered by SCMS colleges exclusively. SET is conducted yearly once and SET 2021 is expected to be conducted in May 2021 (second week).
Eligibility For SET A & B
- Standard XII (10+2) or equivalent examination passed from any recognized board (OR)
- Equivalent government approved diploma (10+3) with at least 50% marks (45% marks for Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribes)
- Candidates in Standard XII or awaiting their Standard XII result are also eligible to apply but they will have to submit a passing certificate
- A candidate who has completed Standard XII or equivalent examination from any Foreign Board must obtain an equivalence certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
Exam Pattern
Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) is a computer-based online test of 2 hours duration. In 2020, the exam pattern was changed as well as the duration of the exam and the scoring pattern. Below is the exam pattern that was used in SET 2020 which will give you a brief idea of how to prepare for the exam.

How to register for SET 2021?
SET 2021 registration process will be given on the official website, tentatively by January 2021. Following was the registration process for SET 2020.

Checklist
- Passport size photo in .jpg, .jpeg, .png or .gif format (file size not more than 500 kb)
- Your marks in SSC
- Your marks in HSC (Candidates to select “Appeared” in case they are awaiting results this year)
- Your choice of Test (you will not be allowed to change your choice of test after the registration is completed)

Process
Now, after this, follow the below instructions to register
- Click on Register (https://set.ishinfosys.com/SET20/Register/Index.aspx)
- Read the instructions carefully and, only then, click on the ‘I Agree’ button to accept the Terms and Conditions
- Click on “Save and Continue” after filling in the required details
- Candidates will receive OTP on the mobile number and email id that they have entered.
- Enter the ‘OTP’ and submit.
- After successful registration, the candidate will receive an email & SMS containing SET 2020 ID and password
- Click “Save & Continue”. Now the Application will redirect you to the Payment page.
Payment Method
After successfully filling the application form, the candidate will be directed to payment of application fees
- Follow the payment page and you’ll be given the options to either make an Online Payment using Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking or obtain a Demand Draft from any Nationalized Bank. This DD should be in favour of “Symbiosis Test Secretariat” payable at Pune. “Click here to know more”( https://set.ishinfosys.com/SET20/Register/Index.aspx )
- SET – B registration fee costs Rs. 1750/-. This is both non-refundable and non-transferable
- Rs. 1000/- is to be paid for each program in addition to the application fees mentioned above. This is also non-refundable and non-transferable
- Kindly note that you will be able to view your Admit card only after you complete the payment as described above.
